ADHD Support at Paediatric Potentials OT — Across QLD

Children with ADHD and attention difficulties often experience challenges with sensory processing and fine motor coordination, which can impact their ability to focus, organise themselves, and engage in daily activities. At Paediatric Potentials OT across QLD, our occupational therapists address these underlying difficulties through targeted interventions. Sensory processing work helps children regulate their nervous system and improve concentration—for example, we might use sensory swings, weighted equipment, or movement breaks to help a child settle before schoolwork. Fine motor interventions strengthen the hand skills needed for writing, fastening buttons, and managing classroom tasks; activities might include threading, scissor work, or pencil grip exercises tailored to each child's needs. These services support children in developing the foundational skills that make attention and self-regulation easier. If your child is eligible for NDIS funding in the 2025-26 scheme, occupational therapy is a funded support category that can help address these needs. Paediatric Potentials OT is NDIS registered, making it straightforward to access therapy as part of your child's plan.
