Listed as taking new clients (self-reported)

Availability checking is most active across Greater Brisbane and South East Queensland: 91 clinics tracked in Greater Brisbane, 61 checked in the last 90 days, and 18 confirmed directly by the clinic in the last 90 days. Listings are national, but this depth of checking is concentrated here and growing.

Availability and wait times are self-reported by each clinic and can change at any time — always confirm directly with the clinic.

What it is

OTWaitlist is a free, public directory of paediatric occupational therapy clinics across Australia. Each listing shows the clinic's self-reported availability — taking new clients, waitlist, or closed to new referrals — alongside a "last checked" date so families can judge how current the information is.

It is an information and resource service. OTWaitlist does not provide therapy, does not diagnose or treat, and is not a clinic. It points families to clinics; clinical decisions stay between the family and their providers.

Who it's for

Parents and carers looking for a paediatric OT, and the people who help them — including NDIS plan managers and support coordinators trying to find a provider with current capacity for a participant.

What it helps with

  • Answers the practical question: "Which paediatric OT clinics near me are taking new clients right now?" — you can search by suburb.
  • Shows self-reported availability with a "last checked" date, so families aren't cold-calling clinics that are already full.
  • Free for families — no paywall, no account required.

Why it's open and accountable

  • Free for families. No cost, no sign-up to browse listings.
  • Availability is self-reported and dated. Each clinic's status carries a "last checked" date, so the information is transparent about its own currency — see how we check our data.
  • Open data. The dataset is published openly under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence at our open data page, with a Zenodo DOI (10.5281/zenodo.21019688) and a Wikidata entity. Anyone can inspect, cite, or reuse it.
  • Operated by a named person. Run by Davis Grainger, trading as OTWaitlist (ABN 75 592 903 962), based in Brisbane — about OTWaitlist.
  • Coverage. Listed clinics are national; availability checking is most active across Greater Brisbane and South East Queensland, and expanding.

How your participants benefit

Support coordinators and plan managers spend real time ringing around to find a paediatric OT with an opening. Pointing a family to OTWaitlist gives them a free starting point to see which clinics report current capacity, narrowing the search before anyone picks up the phone.
