ADHD Support at Action Kids Therapy — Across NSW

Action Kids Therapy supports children with attention difficulties through targeted occupational therapy services that address underlying sensory and motor skills. Children with ADHD often experience sensory processing challenges that affect their ability to focus and regulate behaviour. Our sensory processing work includes activities such as using sensory swings and weighted equipment to help children organise their nervous system, making it easier to concentrate during learning and daily tasks. Handwriting difficulties are also common, and Action Kids Therapy provides fine motor exercises and structured practice to build the strength and coordination needed for writing tasks. For example, we might use therapist-guided activities like threading, scissor work, and pencil grip training to develop the foundational skills that support sustained attention during schoolwork. These services work together to address the 'whole child' approach to attention difficulties. Many families access support through NDIS funding (2025-26), which can cover occupational therapy services. Please note that occupational therapists cannot diagnose ADHD or other conditions—this requires assessment by a medical professional. However, Action Kids Therapy can help manage the functional difficulties that often accompany attention challenges, supporting your child's participation at home, school, and in the community.
