Children with ADHD often experience difficulties with attention, impulse control, and sensory regulation. Connect2Care addresses these challenges through specialised sensory processing support, recognising that many children with attention difficulties benefit from a well-regulated sensory system. Our occupational therapists work with children to develop better body awareness and self-regulation skills through tailored interventions. For example, we use sensory activities such as weighted equipment work to help children feel more grounded and focused, enabling them to sustain attention during learning and play. We also incorporate movement-based activities like controlled swinging or balance work to improve proprioceptive input, which can enhance concentration. Additionally, Connect2Care may recommend fine-motor and coordination exercises that build confidence and reduce frustration during daily tasks. As an NDIS-registered provider, we can support families accessing NDIS funding for eligible participants in the 2025-26 scheme year. Our approach is individualised, recognising that each child's sensory needs are unique. While occupational therapy cannot diagnose ADHD, our sensory processing services complement other supports your child may be receiving, helping them develop strategies to manage attention and regulation challenges in everyday environments.
