ADHD Support at Conscious Healthcare SA — Across SA

Children with ADHD often experience difficulties with attention, impulse control, and sensory regulation. Conscious Healthcare SA recognises that sensory processing challenges frequently co-occur with attention difficulties, and our occupational therapists work to support children by improving their ability to process and respond to sensory information effectively. Through sensory processing interventions, we help children develop better self-regulation and focus. For example, we use weighted equipment and deep pressure activities to help calm an overactive nervous system, allowing children to concentrate better during learning and play. We also incorporate movement-based activities such as controlled swinging or balance work to help children organise their sensory input. Additionally, Conscious Healthcare SA provides fine-motor and coordination exercises that support the physical skills needed for school tasks. These interventions can be funded through the NDIS (2025-26 funding year) if your child has an approved plan. Our therapists work collaboratively with families and schools to create strategies that support attention and self-regulation both in the clinic and at home.
