Guide Me Occupational Therapy supports early childhood development by addressing two key areas that significantly impact how young children learn, play, and interact. Fine motor skills—such as grasping, hand strength, and coordination—are essential for writing, self-care, and play activities. Our occupational therapists use graded activities like threading beads, playdough manipulation, and scissor work to build these foundational abilities. Sensory processing support helps children who may struggle with how their bodies interpret touch, movement, sound, or visual input. Guide Me Occupational Therapy incorporates sensory strategies such as weighted lap pads during focused activities, controlled swinging or movement breaks, and tactile exploration games to help children regulate and engage more effectively. Early intervention during the preschool years can support developmental progress when children are most responsive to learning.
