Autism Support at Kids World: Paediatric Therapy — Across NSW

Kids World: Paediatric Therapy supports children with autism spectrum disorder through tailored occupational therapy addressing core challenges in sensory processing and daily living skills. Our autism service recognises that many autistic children experience sensory sensitivities—some seeking intense input while others find everyday sensations overwhelming. Through our sensory processing expertise, we use evidence-informed strategies like weighted blanket work, sensory diet activities, and structured movement breaks to help children regulate their responses to their environment. Kids World: Paediatric Therapy also supports functional skills development, such as using visual schedules to navigate routines, fine-motor activities to build independence with self-care tasks, and graded exposure to challenging sensory experiences in a safe, predictable setting. Our occupational therapists work collaboratively with families to identify which sensory strategies work best for each child's unique profile. For families accessing NDIS funding in 2025-26, Kids World: Paediatric Therapy is registered to provide occupational therapy services, helping you utilise your plan allocation effectively. We emphasise that while occupational therapy addresses sensory and functional difficulties, occupational therapists cannot diagnose autism spectrum disorder—diagnosis remains the role of medical professionals.
