Sensory processing Support at Peninsula Kids OT — Across VIC

Peninsula Kids OT supports children with sensory processing difficulties through targeted interventions addressing both sensory integration and fine motor skills. Our sensory processing service helps children who struggle with responding to touch, sound, movement, or visual input by creating individualised therapy plans. For example, we use sensory swings and weighted equipment to help children regulate their nervous system and improve body awareness. We also incorporate fine motor activities—such as threading, scissor work, and hand strength exercises—as these skills are often interconnected with sensory processing challenges. Many children benefit from a combination approach: calming sensory input through deep pressure activities alongside precision tasks that build confidence and coordination. Peninsula Kids OT is NDIS registered, meaning eligible children can access these services through NDIS funding in the 2025-26 financial year. Our therapists work collaboratively with families to embed strategies into everyday routines, whether at home, school, or in the community. We recognise that sensory needs are unique to each child, and we tailor our approach accordingly.
