Early intervention Support at Physio Inq — Sydney CBD, NSW
Physio Inq in Sydney CBD, NSW lists services that overlap with paediatric occupational therapy for early intervention.
Services Physio Inq offers for early intervention
Early childhood development relies on strong foundations in fine motor skills and sensory processing. At Physio Inq, our occupational therapists support children aged 0–5 by addressing these key areas through play-based interventions tailored to each child's needs. Fine motor work helps children develop the hand strength and coordination needed for everyday tasks like self-feeding, dressing, and later, writing. We use activities such as threading beads, playdough manipulation, and finger painting to build these skills naturally. Sensory processing support helps children who may struggle with how their bodies interpret touch, movement, or sound. Physio Inq incorporates sensory strategies including weighted lap pads during activities, gentle swinging or rocking movements, and textured play materials to help children feel more regulated and engaged. These services are available to families accessing NDIS funding under early intervention supports (2025–26), as well as through private sessions. Our Sydney CBD clinic works collaboratively with families and other professionals to monitor progress and adjust strategies as your child develops. Early support in these areas can help children build confidence and independence in their daily routines.

Common questions
How do I know if my child needs occupational therapy for early development?
If you've noticed delays in fine motor skills (like grasping or self-feeding), sensitivity to textures or sounds, or difficulty with everyday routines, an occupational therapist can assess your child. Physio Inq offers initial consultations to discuss your concerns. Note that occupational therapists cannot diagnose conditions like autism or sensory processing disorder, but we can identify functional challenges and support development.
Can we access Physio Inq through the NDIS?
Yes, Physio Inq is NDIS-registered. If your child has an approved plan with early intervention funding, you can use those supports with us. We recommend checking your plan details and contacting our clinic to discuss how your funding applies and what sessions might look like for your child.
What should I expect in a session at Physio Inq?
Sessions are play-based and child-led. Your occupational therapist will observe your child, introduce activities targeting fine motor or sensory goals, and involve you in the process. You'll receive strategies to practise at home. Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes and are held at our Sydney CBD location in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
