Autism Support at Caswell Healthcare — Across NSW

Children with autism spectrum disorder often experience differences in how they process sensory information, which can affect their daily activities, learning, and social participation. Caswell Healthcare's sensory processing support helps children develop strategies to manage sensory experiences in ways that work for their nervous system. Our occupational therapists use tailored interventions such as weighted equipment activities to help children feel more grounded and regulated, sensory circuit exercises that combine movement and tactile input to improve body awareness, and structured play-based activities using different textures and sounds to build tolerance and engagement. These approaches are designed to support participation in everyday routines like mealtimes, transitions between activities, and classroom learning. Many families access Caswell Healthcare's services through NDIS funding, which can cover occupational therapy for eligible participants. We work collaboratively with families and other professionals to understand each child's unique sensory profile and develop practical strategies that extend beyond the clinic into home and school environments.
