ADHD Support at Enhanced Life OT — Across NSW

Children with ADHD often experience challenges with fine motor control, organisation, and sustained focus—areas where occupational therapy can provide meaningful support. Enhanced Life OT offers handwriting intervention tailored to children who struggle with pencil grip, letter formation, or writing stamina. Through targeted activities, our occupational therapists work on the foundational skills that underpin writing success. For example, children might engage in hand-strengthening exercises using therapy putty or tweezers to pick up small objects, building the muscle control needed for better pencil control. Enhanced Life OT also incorporates movement breaks and fidget tools to help children regulate their attention during writing tasks, and uses multi-sensory approaches such as writing in sand or on textured surfaces to make learning more engaging. Many families access these services through NDIS funding (2025-26 pricing arrangements), which can cover occupational therapy support for eligible children. While occupational therapists cannot diagnose ADHD, we work collaboratively with your child's medical team to address the functional difficulties that often accompany attention challenges, helping your child develop greater independence and confidence in everyday tasks.
