Autism Support at GoldilOTs — Bendigo, VIC

Children with autism spectrum disorder often experience differences in how they process sensory information and develop fine motor skills. At GoldilOTs, our occupational therapists address these areas through tailored interventions that support everyday functioning and participation. Sensory processing support helps children regulate their responses to sights, sounds, textures and movement—for example, we might use sensory swings or weighted equipment during sessions to help calm or energise a child depending on their needs. Fine motor work focuses on skills like pencil grip, scissor use and hand coordination through play-based activities such as threading, drawing and manipulation tasks. GoldilOTs recognises that every child's needs are unique, and we work collaboratively with families to identify what supports each individual. If your child has an NDIS plan, our registration means you can use your funding to access these services. We also support children without NDIS plans through private sessions. Our therapists work alongside families, schools and other professionals to help children develop confidence and independence in daily activities.
