Autism Support at Grow and Flow — Across QLD

Grow and Flow supports children with autism spectrum disorder through targeted occupational therapy addressing sensory processing and everyday functioning. Children with autism often experience differences in how they process sensory information—some may be overwhelmed by sounds, textures, or lights, while others seek intense sensory input. At Grow and Flow, our occupational therapists use evidence-based strategies tailored to each child's sensory profile. Interventions might include sensory diet activities (such as weighted blanket use or deep pressure work), fine motor skill development through play-based tasks like threading or scissor work, and environmental modifications to reduce sensory triggers. We also support the development of daily living skills and social participation. Many families access Grow and Flow's services through NDIS funding (2025-26 pricing), which can cover occupational therapy sessions when autism-related support needs are identified in a participant's plan. It's important to note that occupational therapists cannot diagnose autism; however, we work collaboratively with families and other professionals to help children thrive in their home, school, and community environments.
