ADHD Support at Live & Learn Therapy — Across NSW

Children with ADHD often experience difficulties with sensory processing and fine motor control, which can impact their ability to focus, organise themselves, and complete everyday tasks. At Live & Learn Therapy, our occupational therapists address these interconnected challenges through tailored interventions. Sensory processing support helps children regulate their nervous system—for example, using weighted blankets or resistance activities during sessions to improve body awareness and reduce fidgeting, allowing better concentration. We also incorporate movement breaks and sensory circuits (activities like crawling under obstacles or pushing against walls) to help children self-regulate before learning tasks. Handwriting intervention focuses on the motor skills and postural control needed for writing, often a significant challenge for children with attention difficulties. Live & Learn Therapy uses fine-motor exercises, adaptive pencil grips, and multisensory writing activities to build confidence and reduce frustration during schoolwork. While occupational therapy cannot diagnose ADHD, these services support the underlying skill gaps that make attention and task completion harder. Many families access our services through NDIS funding (2025-26 pricing structures apply where eligible), though we welcome all referrals. Our therapists work collaboratively with families and schools to ensure strategies generalise across home and classroom settings.
