ADHD Support at Mr OT — Across NSW

Children with ADHD and attention difficulties often experience challenges with sensory processing and fine motor coordination, which can impact their ability to focus, organise tasks, and engage in daily activities. At Mr OT, our occupational therapists address these interconnected areas through tailored interventions. Sensory processing support helps children regulate their nervous system and improve concentration—for example, we might use sensory circuits (movement-based activities), weighted equipment, or fidget tools to help a child settle before learning tasks. Fine motor work strengthens the hand control and coordination needed for writing, fastening buttons, and managing school materials, reducing frustration during these activities. Mr OT also incorporates strategies like visual schedules and structured routines to support attention and task initiation. While occupational therapy cannot diagnose ADHD, it effectively addresses the underlying sensory and motor difficulties that often co-occur. Many families access these services through NDIS funding (2025–26 rates apply where eligible), though we can discuss alternative funding arrangements. Our goal is to build your child's confidence and independence across home, school, and community settings.
