ADHD Support at OT Kidz — Across SA

OT Kidz supports children with ADHD and attention difficulties by addressing the underlying sensory, motor, and self-regulation challenges that often accompany these conditions. Our occupational therapists work with each child to develop practical strategies that improve focus, impulse control, and task completion both at home and school. Interventions may include sensory-based activities such as using weighted blankets or vests to enhance body awareness and calm an overactive nervous system, movement breaks incorporating trampolines or balance equipment to help regulate energy levels, and structured fine-motor tasks like threading or handwriting exercises that build sustained attention. OT Kidz also helps families establish visual schedules and environmental modifications that reduce distractions and create predictable routines. While occupational therapists cannot diagnose ADHD, we can identify sensory and motor factors contributing to attention difficulties and recommend targeted support. Many families access our services through NDIS funding under the 2025–26 scheme, which may cover therapy costs depending on your child's plan. We work collaboratively with schools, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure consistent support across all environments.
