Autism Support at The Willow Tree Clinic — Across NSW

The Willow Tree Clinic supports children with autism spectrum disorder through occupational therapy that addresses everyday challenges with sensory processing, motor skills, and daily routines. Children on the autism spectrum often experience differences in how they process sensory information—some may seek intense sensory input while others find everyday sounds, textures, or movements overwhelming. Our occupational therapists work with each child's unique profile to develop strategies that help them engage more comfortably at home, school, and in the community. Specific interventions at The Willow Tree Clinic might include sensory diet activities tailored to the child's needs, such as using weighted blankets or compression tools to support self-regulation, fine-motor skill development through play-based activities like threading or scissor work to build independence with self-care tasks, and the creation of visual schedules and environmental modifications to reduce anxiety around transitions. We recognise that many children benefit from NDIS funding to access ongoing support, and we work with families to maximise their plan allocations.
