Autism Support at Therapywell — Across QLD

Therapywell supports children with autism spectrum disorder through three interconnected service areas. Our sensory processing support helps children who experience sensory sensitivities—such as difficulty with loud noises, certain textures, or busy environments. We use tailored interventions like sensory diet activities, weighted equipment use, and calm-down spaces to help children regulate their responses. Our fine motor services address coordination challenges that may affect writing, self-care tasks, and play skills through graded activities such as threading, scissor work, and hand-strengthening exercises. Autism-focused support at Therapywell integrates these areas with strategies for daily routines, social participation, and communication support. Many families access our services through NDIS funding (2025-26 pricing arrangements), which can cover occupational therapy for eligible participants. We work collaboratively with families and other professionals to understand each child's unique profile and develop practical strategies for home and school. An occupational therapist cannot diagnose autism, but we can identify functional difficulties and support children in reaching their potential across self-care, learning, and play.
