ADHD Support at Therapywell — Across QLD

Children with ADHD and attention difficulties often benefit from occupational therapy that addresses the underlying sensory and motor skills affecting their focus and behaviour. At Therapywell, our occupational therapists work with children across Queensland to support attention regulation through three key service areas. Sensory processing therapy helps children manage over- or under-responsiveness to stimuli—for example, using sensory swings or weighted lap pads during sessions to help calm the nervous system and improve concentration. Fine motor interventions strengthen hand control and coordination, which supports writing stamina and reduces frustration during schoolwork. Additionally, our therapists help develop strategies for attention and task initiation, such as visual schedules and movement breaks that scaffold focus throughout the day. While occupational therapists cannot diagnose ADHD, we can identify sensory and motor factors that may be contributing to attention difficulties and work collaboratively with your child's medical team. Therapywell supports families accessing NDIS funding under the 2025-26 arrangements, though registration status should be confirmed directly with the clinic. Our goal is to help your child develop the foundational skills and environmental supports needed to engage more successfully at home, school, and in the community.
