Early intervention Support at You and Me OT — Across WA

You and Me OT supports children's early childhood development through targeted fine motor and sensory processing services. Fine motor skills—like grasping, threading, and hand-eye coordination—form the foundation for writing, self-care, and play. Our therapists use graded activities such as playdough manipulation, scissor practice, and bead-threading to build strength and control. Sensory processing support helps children who struggle with how their bodies interpret touch, movement, and environmental input. You and Me OT incorporates sensory strategies including weighted lap pads during activities, movement breaks on therapy balls, and tactile exploration with different textures to help children self-regulate and engage more effectively. Early intervention during these critical developmental years can support participation in everyday routines and learning environments. While occupational therapists cannot diagnose conditions like autism or sensory processing disorder, we work collaboratively to identify functional challenges and implement practical strategies. Families may access funding through the NDIS (2025-26 pricing arrangements) or private payment. Our team discusses funding options during initial consultation to support accessible care.
