ADHD Support at Physio Inq — Across NSW

Children with ADHD often experience sensory processing difficulties that can affect their ability to focus, regulate emotions, and participate in daily activities. Physio Inq supports these children through sensory processing services designed to help them better understand and respond to sensory information in their environment. Our occupational therapists work with each child to identify their sensory needs and create tailored strategies. For example, we may use sensory tools like weighted blankets or lap pads to help calm an overactive nervous system, enabling better concentration during schoolwork or social interactions. Movement-based activities such as controlled swinging or trampolining can help children discharge excess energy and improve body awareness. We also incorporate fine-motor and coordination exercises that strengthen the foundations for attention and self-regulation. At Physio Inq, we understand that sensory sensitivities—whether to sound, touch, or movement—can significantly impact a child's ability to attend and engage. While occupational therapists cannot diagnose ADHD or sensory processing disorder, we can assess how sensory factors influence your child's functioning and provide evidence-based support. Many families access our services through NDIS funding (2025-26), making therapy more accessible. Our goal is to equip children with practical tools to manage their sensory needs and thrive in school and home environments.
