Transforming Kids OT supports children with sensory processing difficulties through targeted occupational therapy interventions designed to help them better understand and respond to sensory information. Sensory processing work at Transforming Kids OT focuses on creating individualised therapy plans that address how your child's nervous system processes sights, sounds, textures, movement and touch. Our therapists use evidence-based strategies including sensory integration activities such as work with suspended equipment like sensory swings to provide vestibular input, weighted tools and clothing to support proprioceptive awareness, and fine-motor activities using varied textures to build tolerance and coordination. Sessions might incorporate obstacle courses, play-based exploration with different materials, or structured routines using visual supports to help children anticipate transitions. Transforming Kids OT recognises that sensory processing challenges often co-occur with other developmental needs, and therapy is tailored to your child's unique profile. If your child may be eligible for NDIS funding, our team can discuss how occupational therapy services may be supported under the 2025-26 funding arrangements. We recommend consulting with your child's GP or paediatrician for assessment and referral, as occupational therapists cannot diagnose sensory processing disorder but can provide valuable support once identified.
