At Transforming Kids OT, sensory processing support helps young children develop the foundational skills they need for learning, play, and daily routines. When children struggle with sensory input—whether they're overwhelmed by sounds and textures or seek intense movement and touch—targeted interventions can make a real difference. Transforming Kids OT uses evidence-based activities tailored to each child's needs, such as sensory swing work to help with balance and body awareness, textured play activities to build tolerance for different tactile experiences, and movement-based games that develop coordination and confidence. An occupational therapist will observe how your child responds to their environment and create a plan that fits into everyday routines at home and in early childhood settings. Many families access these services through NDIS funding (2025–26 pricing arrangements), though eligibility varies. It's important to note that occupational therapists cannot diagnose conditions like autism or sensory processing disorder—diagnosis comes from medical professionals—but OTs can identify developmental areas where support would help and work collaboratively with your child's other healthcare providers.
